The current primary mission of VX-1 is to conduct tests, evaluations, and investigations of antisubmarine warfare aircraft weapons systems, airborne strategic weapons system, support systems, equipment, and materials in an operational environment. The squadron also develops, reviews, and disseminates new ASW tactics and procedures for fleet use, serving as the model manager for all Air ASW tactical publications. This is the gray version of the squadron patch and shows a black shark coming towards you. This patch does not have velcro.
