VX-9 is the Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Nine, (AIRTEVRON NINE, commonly referred to by its nickname, The Vampires) is a United States Navy air test and evaluation squadron based at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, California. This is their desert version of the F/A-18 “VANDY-1” version of the aircraft coffin patch and does not come with velcro attached.
