US NAVY Collectibles

Thanks for stopping by the "Collections Site". I created this section in an effort to help the Widows/Families of our American Heroes find a place for some of the mementos and collectibles they are willing to part with. This (I hope) helps the families in an effort to go through all the memorabilia we aviators tend to collect while we're in......these items are NOT NEW, therefore you will see some "wear" on items, as they were obtained over the years. Enjoy, and know that you are helping preserve the history and legacy of some of these families.......

RULES: These are on a "first-come, first-gets" basis. If you want something, please EMAIL me at (whiteyinga@av8rstuff.com). This will help keep things in a chronological order so that the first to ask for something gets "dibs" on it. When listing what you want, use the (number) and title listed, as that's what I know it by. If you want to see a "closeup" or a picture of the back(ing) of the item, let me know and I will send via email. Remember, most of these are in a "used" condition, many worn in COMBAT, and are guaranteed for AUTHENTICITY by the family, as these are ORIGINAL items collected by the member!

PROCEDURE: Since every item is a "ONE-ONLY" quantity, no "cart" or "checkout" feature is being offered. These are in no particular order, as items come in often, so scroll the entire set of patches and come back often to see the latest additions. These are being reserved via email (see above), then you can settle up either by PAYPAL, Check, or Credit Card. Email me to verify the ones you "won", then I will give you the details of your order. I hope to remove them as quickly as they are sold, that way preventing any "double-selling" a single item....best way I know how to control this is manually.

AS-IS: These come in the condition you see. You'll see some of these patches that are on the website, but THESE ARE ALL ORIGINAL pieces purchased AT THE TIME they were made, unless otherwise specified. ASSUME AUTHENTIC ORIGINALS and (if needed) will differentiate when it isn't). Please ask all questions before finalizing, as I couldn't bear to ask for a refund from any of the family members.....thanks again to the greatest group of enthusiasts on the web..........you all are awesome and make me proud to know you!!

	682) UNITED STATES NAVY Patch (Large/Old/Worn) Price: $24.99 Size: 4.5" Diameter This is an OLD-feeling UNITED STATES NAVY patch. Looks old, feels old, is really soft.... It was sewn onto something, you can see tiny 'sew-holes' in the border and has a "felt" type material in the blue center. Has a backing that feels like a thin, dried-out, chamois cloth. I'd estimate this one from the '60s or '70s. It does not have velcro.
	683) USN 'Golden Shellback' Patch Price: $9.99 Size: 4.5" Diameter This is a generic (and fairly modern) version of the "GOLDEN SHELLBACK" patch. It uses the standard design with King Neptune, has a thin, plastic backing, red merrowed border, and no velcro.
	685) USN 'BLUE NOSE' Patch Price: $9.99 Size: 5" Diameter This is one (of several) versions of the "BLUE NOSE" patch. This one says 'ARCTIC CIRCLE' (top) and 'BLUE NOSE' (bottom). It shows a Polar Bear watching a submarine break through the icecap', thus earning that 'certificate'! It has a thin, plastic backing, white merrowed border, and no velcro.
	686) USN 'Riverine Force' Patch Price: $19.99 Size: 5" Diameter This is on older patch for the 'Mobile Riverine Force' (known as one of two groups called the 'River Rats'! It has a PT boat with the number 1097 (center) and 'MEKONG DELTA' (bottom). The patch has a thin, plastic backing, 'cut' edge/border, and no velcro.
	689) VF-24 'FIGHTING 24' Squadron Patch (White) Price: $9.99 Size: 5" Height This is a reproduction patch (I think) of one of the VF-24 'Friday' historical patches. It shows the pirate with a dagger in his teeth, has a thin, plastic backing, 'cut' edge/border, and no velcro.
	711) 2002 WestPac/OEF Cruise Price: $9.99 Size: 4.5" Height This is one of the cruise patches created for the US Navy for their 2002 Western Pacific (WESTPAC) cruise in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. It has a thin, plastic backing, a cut edge, and does not have velcro.
	1122) F-18-era VFA-113 Squadron Patch Price: $11.99 Size: 4.4" Height This is the 'large', current version of the VFA-113 Squadron patch. It has no backing and is in great condition. Any questions, email me and I'll give more detail/pictures. This one does NOT have velcro on the back.
	1123) VF-103 'DET' Patch Price: $14.99 Size: 2.4" Height x 3.2" Width I can't verify this, but was told (through unofficial channels) that VF-103 'JOLLY ROGERS' did a DET to Key West in the 1990's and flew over several of the islands in the Caribbean. The story goes that they did not make a DET patch, but saw these in a tourist shop on Duvall Street (Key West main drag) and several of them bought these as their 'DET' patches. Again, I cannot verify, just passing what I was told when I bought the collection. This one has a very tight cheesecloth backing. Any questions, email me and I'll give more detail/pictures. This one does NOT have velcro on the back.
	1124) VR-30 'STAGECOACH' DET Patch Price: $14.99 Size: 3" Square I can't verify this, but was told (through unofficial channels) that VR-30 did a DET to the Mediterranean somewhere and didn't have time to get DET patches created. Their callsign was 'STAGE COACH' (note the space) but found these at a street vendor in Greece. Again, I cannot verify, just passing what I was told when I bought the collection. This one has a very tight cheesecloth backing and is in great condition. Any questions, email me and I'll give more detail/pictures. This one does NOT have velcro on the back.
