The ‘Sea Stallions’ were established in May 1978 and currently fly the MH-53E Sea Stallion out of NAS Norfolk, VA. They were implemented with side-scanning radar in ’92 for search capabilities. This version of their “horsehead” patch has the subdued patriotic theme of “Red/White/Blue” of the American Flag.
