This is the commemorative coin for one of the most incredible events in aviation history, the “PARDO PUSH”. If you don’t know this story, you NEED (and are required) to look it up, as Bob Pardo tells his wounded wingman to lower his tailhook (F-4 Phantom), put that hook on his windscreen, and PUSHES him to safety before ejecting himself….the details are incredible.
