Detachment 5 is located at Edwards AFB, CA. The detachment conducts operational test and evaluation of bomber, tanker, flight training, airlift, special operations, unmanned aircraft systems, and specific intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), command, control, and communications (C3) aircraft and systems. Detachment 5 conducts operational test and evaluation of warfighter systems in operationally realistic battlespace environments to determine their effectiveness, suitability, and mission capability.
