The USN FWS (Fighter Weapons School) commonly referred to as “Top Gun”, was based at NAS Miramar, CA, but has since been moved to NAS Fallon, NV. There are several (6) tabs/arcs that can be worn around the “GRADUATE” patch. The older version of the TOP GUN patch shows a MiG-19 (Vietnam-era) with the long plume of jet exhaust. This “GRADUATE” patch has ALL SIX tabs around the older GRADUATE patch, ALL AS ONE PIECE (this is ONE PATCH), with velcro. Incredible piece!!
