The VAQ-135 “Black Ravens” operate the E/A-18G ‘GROWLER’ out of NAS Whidbey Island, WA. They were established in May 1969 and participated in Operation Desert Storm from the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) while flying the venerable EA-6B Prowler. This patch was (no kidding) found in a small, Korean embroidery shop that was made for the squadron’s participation in one of the US/Korean joint exercises. It says “RAVENS LEAVE THEIR MARK” (top) and does not come with velcro attached.
