The VAW-124 “Bear Aces” fly the Grumman E-2C Hawkeye out of NAS Norfolk, VA. They were established in September 1967 and fly as part of CVW-8 on the East Coast airwings. They participated in Desert Storm aboard the USS Roosevelt (CVN-71) and are still attached to that aircraft carrier based out of NAS Norfolk shipyard, the largest naval facility in the world. This the black-bordered variant of the squadron patch and does not come with velcro attached.
