The VAW-124 “Bear Aces” fly the Grumman E-2C Hawkeye out of NAS Norfolk, VA. They were established in September 1967 and fly as part of CVW-8 on the East Coast airwings. This is the 2008-2009 OEF cruise patch they created since they were the “Boulevard Police” for traffic going up the “boulevard” (air traffic lane over Pakistan). This patch does not come with velcro already attached.
