The ‘Aardvarks’ flew the F-14A Tomcat out of NAS Miramar. Their mascot was the creature “Zot” from B.C. Comics. They transitioned from the Phantom to the Tomcat in December 1975, and made several West coast cruises paired with VF-213 before being decommissioned. This is the desert version of the aircraft triangle worn on the right sleeve of their flightsuit and says “AARDVARKS” along the bottom. This patch does not come with velcro already attached.
