The ‘Aardvarks’ flew the F-14A Tomcat out of NAS Miramar. Their mascot was the creature “Zot” from B.C. Comics. They transitioned from the Phantom to the Tomcat in December 1975, and made several West coast cruises paired with VF-213 before being decommissioned.
