(Karean Supplier) This is the ’75th Anniversary’ patch created by the VFA-115 ‘Eagles” for their time in the Western Pacific Theater (WESTPAC). Strike Fighter Squadron 115 (VFA-115) is known as the “Eagles”, callsign “Talon”, a USN F/A-18E Super Hornet Strike/Fighter squadron stationed at MCAS Iwakuni. Their tail code is ‘NF’ and were established as Torpedo Squadron VT-11 on 10 October 1942, redesignated VA-12A on 15 November 1946, VA-115 on 15 July 1948, then finally VFA-115 which is their current assignment. This patch says “BEST ATTACK IN WESTPAC” (their motto) and “VA/VFA-115 ARABS/EAGLES” (top), ’75 YEARS’ (gold thread – middle), and “STILL IN WESTPAC 1942 – 2017″ (bottom). Only received a few of these from a small Korean embroidery shop while a friend was on a visit there earlier this month. This patch does not have velcro attached!”
