(Another AV8RSTUFF Creation): VFA-122 flies the F/A-18C out of NAS Lemoore, CA as the West Coast Replacement Air Group (RAG). In order to be qualified for the “FLEET” (operational squadrons), the pilots must qualify in the Air-to-Ground role during their “Bombing/Attack” DET to NAF El Centro, CA. This patch was created to show the LONNNGGG drive to get to the Mexican Border and says “EL CENTRO DET” (bottom) with a cactus on fire on the side of the road. This patch does NOT have velcro attached.
