The “Cyclons”, based at NAS Fallon, NV are an adversary squadron equipped with Northrop’s F-5 E/F Tigers, and in 1992, began transitioning to the F/A-18A/B Hornet. The Cyclons were the first adversary squadron to fly the Hornet and when flying in the ‘RED AIR’ role, this is the squadron patch they wore. This patch does not have velcro attached.
