This is a custom patch for the 116th OSS. It shows a drunk bird flying around. On the top rocker it states, “GET LIT!” and on the bottom rocker it says, “116th OSS”. The patch is an “unauthorized” version of the squadron’s Friday morale patch. The 116th Operations Support Squadron, unlike a traditional base OSS, is responsible for the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) sortie and exercise scheduling, flight analyses, mission intelligence, tactics, and aircrew training preparation. These duties include long-range mission scheduling, building and executing exercises and deployments, aircraft software or modification training, and providing the necessary tactics and intelligence analyses to ensure wing mission success. This patch comes with velcro attached.
