(Another AV8RSTUFF Creation): The “Tophatters” of VFA-14 from NAS Oceana flew the F-14A Tomcat and is the oldest US Navy squadron with a continuous history dating back to September 1919. They transitioned to their latest aircraft, the F/A-18 Hornet in December 2001, replacing the F-14 Tomcat. This is the red-black version of their historical WWII bullet patch giving homage to the SB2C ‘HELL DIVER’ aircraft and does not have velcro attached.
